Write Your Own Story

Why not write your own book?

Omolola has four books to her credit plus one more that was ghostwritten. The first DearJB is a literay piece for children about Mr. John Brown an abolitionist who revolted against the white slave owners in Harpers Ferry, WV. The second, What is wrong with us: Nuggets about mature singles is a book that has continued to liberate many singles and those who relate with them. The third UNCUT, is a piece with 100 poems that speaks to adults across many facts of life. The fourth and recently launched work is Just Sharing which is a compedium of articles written in Willows Magazine and a Nigerian newspaper.

Omolola’s writing history dates back to when she was admitted as member of the FGC Odogbolu Press Club. She later became news writer, news presenter and founding columnist of Do you know that, a column in the Pen Point published by the Press Club. Before then, she created Teenage Blunders, a handwritten magazine which girls visited her corner to read. The book has become part of her personal archive.

The vision of writing had been birthed. Years later, Omolola was led to create Willows Magazine, after she returned from the 3rd World Summit on Media for Children in Thessaloniki, Greece. When Divine Connection was birthed, she created DC Newsletter, which is presently being developed into a full-fledged magazine.

Through the years, she has written speeches, sermons, articles, scripts and research papers some of which have been published in academic journals and few she has delivered in conferences across the globe. She is presently working on Mrs. Taiwo Ajai Lycett's biography. Omolola’s skills birthed a book for and about women titled Pillar of Strength by Pastor Grace OkonrendeThe final draft is due for publishing in March 2013.
